The NOVA ARTS SALON community is contemporary hairdressers that explore the boundaries of creativity. We aim to grow with the community of creatives here in the Arts District and contribute to its energy by hosting art events, media gatherings, sponsored product events and hair arts seminars and classes (offered to students globally).

Choi grew up in Southern California, where she graduated from the acclaimed Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy. After school, Cherin continued her training as a colorist at the famous Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills; it was here that she refined coloring techniques that have allowed her to highlight healthy, fine hair with minimal damage, and to transform dark and coarse to blonde and beautiful. In addition to natural hair coloring, Cherin is highly skilled in integrating creative color palettes into her highlighting techniques. She also has expertise in hair extensions, specifically with sew-in wefts and tape-ins. After five successful years in Beverly Hills, three at Ramirez Tran, most recently Salon Benjamin, working in New York City, San Francisco, and Mexico City, Cherin is now creating all-new outpost in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles.

Sal moved to the US from Mexico at 13. He touched his first pair of shears shortly thereafter and hasn't stopped since. He graduated from Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy and began working at the esteemed at Sally Hershberger Salon then at Ramirez|Tran Salon in Beverly Hills. Sal continues pushing himself into being a better artist. He has had the pleasure to work with many celebrities & artists as well as children, teenagers, moms & grandmas. His focus is to create quality work and let it speak for itself. After four successful years in Beverly Hills at Ramirez Tran, Salon Benjamin and working in New York City, San Francisco, and Mexico City, Sal is now creating an all-new outpost in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles.
